SENIOR DATA PACKETS:   DUE - Sept 25th

Seniors:  If you will be applying for Scholarships, or applying to any Private College or University, you will probably need a Letter of Recommendation from a Counselor.  In order to open a Letter of Rec file, you must complete the SENIOR DATA PACKET which can be found on line at:  www.ausd.net/ahs , Click on Counseling, click on College Information, and then click on 2009-2010 Student Data Packet to open the file.    Complete the packet on-line, and then print out 2 copies (one for your Recommendation File and one for yourself).  Please turn in your completed Packet to the Career Center, in Room P13 at lunchtime or after school, no later than Friday, September 25th   If you have not started your Senior Packet, you need to get working on this quickly - maybe even this weekend!!  

Tues - Sept 22 - Letter of Rec Workshop - after school, Cafeteria.    Plan to attend after school in the cafeteria, to learn all about your College Letters of Recommendation - and how to ACTIVATE your file!    If your file is not activated, the Counselors cannot write a Letter for you.

Wed - Oct 28  NCAA/Athletic Recruiting Workshop - evening, cafeteria

Sat - Oct 31  Financial Aid Workshop - part 1 - morning - North Gym

Sat - Nov 14 PLAN test (Practice ACT exam)

Mon - Nov 30  UC Applications due!

Sat -  Dec 5  Financial Aid Workshop - part 2 - morning - South Gym (Parents of Seniors, only!)

Thurs - Jan 14 - PLAN scoresback seminar, evening, Music Building

Wed - April 21 - College Night!  5:30 - 9:00 PM
